5 Reasons Why You Stink

Body odor of any sort usually indicates there is a problem. Most of the time these little problems can be fixed. But ongoing body odor that won't go away can indicate you have a more serious health problem.

Why you stink

#1 Rancid sweat - if your perspiration smells rancid, it could mean you have a magnesium deficiency. This can be caused by what you eat, so eat plenty of green vegetables and take a magnesium supplement to help smell normal again.

#2 Smelling like rotten eggs - this is often caused by some birth control prescriptions which can dry out the mouth and build up sulphur, which smells like rotten eggs. If this is the case with you, ask your doctor to change brands.

#3 Fishy breath - if your breath smells like fish, and not from eating fish, it could indicate you have a problem with your liver. Check with your doctor.

#4 Trouble down south - if you experience a foul odor below, it may be a sign of vaginal yeast infection. This can easily be cured with antibiotics, or you could first try an over-the-counter anti-fungal remedy.

#5 Bad breath - if you are doing everything you should with oral hygiene and your breath is still bad, you may have a sinus infection. Sinusitis is caused by allergies or a bacterial or viral infection with mucus draining down the back of your throat, giving you bad breath. Try an OTC sinus relief product, or see your doctor for a stronger prescription.

No one likes body odors, or to be around someone who stinks. Fortunately, there are generally easy, effective cures for whatever is making you smell bad.
