What was recalled
The product that was recalled was Beech-Nut CLASSICS sweet potato & chicken. The jars were distributed across the nation. Here is what to look for on the jars:
- Jars with product numbers 12395750815 through “12395750821
- Jars that have the number “P-68A” inside the USDA mark of inspection, with an expiration date of December, 2016
No one hurt
Fortunately, no one has been injured due to the contaminated jars. Only one report has been found so far with a jar containing a small piece of glass.
What to do
According to Beech-Nut, consumers who have jars with these product numbers should call the company at (866) 674-4446 to get a full refund, or return the products to the store where they purchased them.
