Getting Rid of Your Muffin Top (or Love Handles) Can Be As Easy As 1-2-3

We see it every day -- people who sport what's known as the muffin top. It's a cute way of describing how the belly looks when it hangs over the belt line -- like the top of a muffin!!

The whole idea behind eliminating belly fat is to fill your tummy with healthy foods that will satisfy your hunger, but not add fat. Try eating these 3 healthy foods:

1. Whole grains - like quinoa, oats, brown rice, whole wheat, buck wheat and rye will not only give you that full feeling but they are good for you. The term "whole" means it's the whole and entire grain you are eating, not the stripped down version you find in other types of grains. Whole grains contain the germ, endosperm, and bran; refined grains have only the endosperm. So, stay away from white bread, white rice, and anything made from white flour.

2. Sunflower seeds, nuts, olives and avocados - contain good fats, also known as monounsaturated fatty acids. Don't worry about how to pronounce it; just know that these are foods that will help eliminate muffin top by satisfying your hunger but not adding more calories.

3. Fat-free yogurt - three servings of fat-free yogurt every day will help you lose the fat around the belly. In fact, a study published recently in the International Journal of Obesity showed that people who ate 3 servings of non-fat yogurt every day for 12 weeks lost more belly fat than those who did not eat the yogurt. Plus, yogurt contains probiotics that will help with digestion and tummy trouble.
