There are foods that are good for you and foods that are absolutely not good for your health. Then there are foods that are dangerous. These are the ones that we thought were all right but were recalled due to reasons that included foreign objects, contamination, E. Coli and other bacteria.

Here are the top 10 foods that were recalled in 2013. Hope you didn't eat any of these:
  1. Lean Cuisine Mushroom Mezzaluna Ravioli - contained glass fragments.
  2. Kellogg's Special K Red Berries cereal - contained glass fragments.
  3. Aldi U.K. certain beef products - contained horsemeat contamination.
  4. Bumble Bee canned tuna - contamination risk due to loose lids.
  5. National Beef Packing Company ground beef - E. Coli risk
  6. Chobani yogurt - no contamination but recalled due to customer complaints regarding quality.
  7. Pillsbury cinnamon rolls - contained pieces of plastic.
  8. Taylor Farms broccoli salad - contained listeria, a form of bacteria.
  9. Crunch Pak apple slices - also contained listeria bacteria.
  10. Wraps and salads by Glass Onion Catering - E. Coli.

These foods were recalled by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) whose job it is to ensure that U.S. citizens purchase safe food products on the market. The organization immediately sends information through the media when recalls happen which includes information on how to identify contaminated products and where to take them for disposal.
