What Is Enroll America?

Enroll America
Enroll America is a newly-formed advocacy group that aims to help the 50 million uninsured Americans obtain health insurance coverage. The organization has formed partnerships with major insurance companies, hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, community groups, and civic organizations.

They are an outgrowth of Affordable Care Act supporters, also known as Families USA, and their primary goal is to raise awareness about The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act signed by President Obama back on March 23, 2010.

That act is an actual law now, and in 2014, will start helping uninsured Americans get health care by providing tax credits to help defray the costs of purchasing private coverage and by expanding the number of people who can enroll in Medicaid.

Until then, those who are uninsured are encouraged to go to Healthcare.gov to explore coverage options in their state and to find out which private insurance plans, public programs, and community services are available.

In addition to Enroll America, many states are also building awareness about their healthcare exchange program. They are expected to start enrolling customers later this year.
